The annual Planning Aid Conference was held at the University of Edinburgh Pollock Halls. Attendance was from across the United Kingdom, with presentations on leading thinking and experiences of aiding public participation in planning.
The use of the VLT to enable participation of younger people in the development of the local plan for the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Attendees raised issues of extending the use of the voting system and making the tools more widely available.
The role of the VLT in discussing alternative layouts for the Golden Square in Aberdeen was also presented, with the audience raising issues of accuracy and model detail.
