Scottish SMILE Workshop

9th – 12th June 2009

A mid project workshop was held on 9th - 12th June 2009, in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Members from all partners attended the workshop and presented updates on their progress.

We also agreed upon a way forward for finalising work package 3 (case studies) and starting work packages 4 (synergies and trade-off analysis and scenario building) and 5 (interfacing the scientific results with policy processes).

As part of the workshop, we had a presentation from the Cairngorms National Park Authority and visited Glen Tanar Estate, Royal Lochnagar Distillery and Braemar within the Cairngorms National Park.

During our visit to the Glen Tanar Estate we heard views from the Estate Owner and a ranger on managing land within the National Park.
