March 2007, Applicant’s and Research Staff Days, Robert Gordon University
The modelling of landscapes, and use of virtual reality tools were demonstrated, at the invitation of the School of Computing, to attendees of the The Robert Gordon University Applicant’s Day, and for seminars dedicated to research staff and students. Senior staff of the university were also present for demonstrations.
The audience on Applicant’s Day comprised school pupils who were visiting the University to learn more about the opportunities on offer when undertaking undergraduate degrees in computing science. The model presented was that of the windfarm proposed for Aberdeen Bay. Some parents also attended, to whom the model was also presented.
The audience on the Research Day was from amongst the staff and post-graduate students, with interests ranging across interface design and development, 3D model creation, and software tools for interactions with the models.
