October 2006 - SEERAD/OECD conference on ‘Rural Investment Priorities’.

The Institute was invited to showcase research into facilitating public and stakeholder involvement in investing in future landscapes.

 

 

The Virtual Landscape Theatre (VLT) was used to demonstrate how a sharing of visions could aid discussions about the process of change in the countryside. The presentations used examples of windfarm developments and woodland change.

 

The event was attended by staff from the Scottish Government Environment and Rural Affairs Department (SEERAD), the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and (OECD) and representatives from countries in Europe, Asia, North America, Australasia and Africa.
