To what extent can society create a sustainable countryside that will meet its needs?

Answering the question means identifying society's differing and sometimes conflicting priorities, which are set within several social, economic and environmental themes.

Our overall aim is to provide policymakers and those who use the land with the necessary information to make informed choices about the kind of countryside they want. We involve stakeholders at all levels including local residents, farmers, other land managers and policymakers.
