iCATCH focuses on maximising the potential impact of the research we do, and the knowledge and expertise of the Catchment Management research team at the Institute.
The Catchment Management research team work closely with a range of stakeholders on a number of collaborative projects and specific catchment planning initiatives, and the exchange of knowledge between the research and practitioner community is embedded in out research ethos. iCATCH facilitates this process by promoting two-way knowledge exchange with stakeholder groups informing the debate on developing sustainable CATCHMENT FUTURES.
We aim to disseminate information to the broadest possible community of interest, ranging from policy makers to catchment planners, from rural businesses to residents, and from the general public to school children. Outputs include a range of demonstration sites focused on best practice, guidance on planning and management, expert evaluation of Scottish Government and national consultations, provision of knowledge and data, and articles in the popular press on topics of environmental interest.
