Thierry Lecompte

Thierry Lecompte graduated in 1975 with a Masters degree from the University of Rouen in natural sciences and animal biology. He spent some years working as a technical consultant environmental management before going on to complete a doctoral thesis in 1986 on the conservation management of wetlands in Basse-Vallée de Seine. Dr Lecompte was director of the Centre de Découverte de la Nature (CEDENA) in Sainte-Opportune-la-Mare between 1982 and 1990 before taking on his current post (Ingénieur en Chef de la Fonction Publique Territoriale) in charge of the Natural Heritage Mission in the Parc Naturel Régional de Brotonne. Dr Lecompte is president of the working group on biotope improvement by grazing in the European network EUROSITE and president of the working group "grazing" of the permanent conference on nature reserves. Dr Lecompte has published widely in technical journals. A selection of the recent papers is given below.
