Greenspace Project

Many towns and cities possess attractive parks and recreational areas which contribute to the quality of life of urban citizens. This study will test methods of incorporating a greater level of public participation in the planning of the provision of such parks.

The Macaulay Land Use Research Institute and The Robert Gordon University are participating in a study funded by the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department and the European Union, with other partners in Dublin, Brighton, Zurich, Eindhoven and Barcelona. The aim is to determine the values people attach to greenspaces in these different European cities.
