Building on its success in past years, the seventh European Environment
Conference is currently seeking papers for the 1997 event. This year,
the conference will examine the extent to which environmental policies
throughout Europe have promoted a shift towards sustainability. Papers
are sought which examine the design, delivery or impact of policies that
affect the environment at the international, EU, national or local levels.
In particular, papers are sought which examine:
the politics of the environment and sustainability
As a guide, papers might address the following policy themes:
Abstracts of approximately 200
words should be sent by May 16th 1997
Papers are sought from policy makers, regulators, practitioners, pressure
groups, local authorities, academics and researchers. Initial abstracts
up to 200 words should be submitted to the Conference Organiser by May
16th, 1997. To be published in the conference proceedings accepted papers
will be required in manuscript and on IBM compatible disk formats by August
1st 1997. Papers will be presented in a period of 20 minutes followed by
questions. The conference seeks to present an informal and participative
atmosphere. Accepted conference papers may also be considered for publication
in the journal European Environment
