methods	The data was derived by overlaying aerial photographs with a reprojected grid (100m x 100m) and manually interpreting and assigning the predominant land use of each cell. The reprojection of the grid mask was done by reconstructing the geometry of each photo by using a DEM (the Swiss RIMINI model) and other geometric parameters as focal length, viewing angles etc. The classification was carried out by visually interpreting transparent images. Every raster point was classified by two independent interpreters to minimise errors. Uncertain land use features were verified in a first field campaign. The land use features still uncertain were checked as well as discussed and finally assigned in a second field campaign.
