The Macaulay Land Use Research Institute has two commercial subsidiaries, Macaulay Research Consultancy Limited (MRCS) and Macaulay Enterprises Limited (MEL).

• MRCS transfers knowledge gained in the Institute's research to a range of public and private sector customers throughout the world. Further Information can be found on the Company website.
• MEL offers a wide variety of environmental and analytical services to a range of industries and regulatory bodies, utilising skills and expertise of the Institute's staff. Further information about MEL can be found here, as well on the Company website.

Both companies provide high quality research, consultancy and data services on the topics of land management and environmental management. They have full access to the facilities and intellectual property of the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute, and their profits are returned to the Institute to support further research.
